UPCOMING EVENTS

  • Yin & Cello

    EMMA STREMBIKYJI & DEBROAH

    Sunday July 26th, 7PM - 8.30PM

An evening of yin yoga accompanied by the beautiful sounds of live cello. A chance to slow down, soften, breathe and simply be. As the music carries you, the body begins to unwind, the mind grows quiet, and space opens for deep rest. Leave feeling lighter, calmer, deeply restored and more connected to yourself.

  • Break it down. Build it up.

    EMMA STREMBIKYJI

    Saturday August 1st, 11:30AM - 1.30PM

This workshop is for anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of foundational strength and technique, whether that’s refining and restructuring their chaturanga to create more stability and integrity, or building from there into more dynamic expressions such as crow pose, headstand, and forearm balance.

We’ll break things down in a way that feels accessible and supportive, then gradually build them back up, layering strength, awareness, and confidence. It’s a space for those willing to explore their edge, to lean into the challenge, and also to not take it all too seriously. There will be moments of effort, moments of lightness, and plenty of opportunity to enjoy the process.

At the heart of it all is the reminder of the key ingredients: breath and surrender. To move with intention, but also to soften where needed, allowing the practice to meet us as much as we meet it.

  • Winter Deep Rest Sound Bath

    PHOEBE DUBAR (IKSRE)

    Sunday August 2nd, 7pm

Join us for a deeply restorative and balancing 60-minute sound bath with Phoebe Dubar (IKSRE). Let waves of soothing sound from crystal bowls, gongs, and layered instruments wash over you, guiding your mind and body into a state of deep rest while harmoniously balancing the Chakras (energy centres) of the body. This immersive sonic journey will help release tension, quiet the mind, and leave you feeling grounded, spacious, and renewed.

Every sound bath is a different experience depending on the moon cycle or theme. Allow the sound waves to facilitate a deep meditative state, allowing connection with your inner self and the energies of the full moon. This is a time of heightened intuition and clarity, making it easier to receive insights and guidance.

Phoebe uses a combination of crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, chimes, gongs, hand pan, Monochord and vocal toning. Participants lie down and relax as they are “bathed” in sound, slowing down their brainwaves and lulling them into a deep state of meditation and healing. It’s a profound experience for many, with no experience or skills required by its participants.

    COST: GRY Members $40 / Non-members $45

    DUAA DAHHO

    Friday August 7th, 6.30PM - 8:30PM

A beautiful and sacred 2hr ceremonial breathwork journey where we dive in on the topic of Sonder: meeting the many selves, a ceremonial Breathwork journey into the inner and collective worlds.

Sonder is the realisation that everyone around us carries a story and a life as deep and complex as our own. To honour this truth,  I invite you to join me on a two hour journey, a space to meet the many selves within and around us through the wisdom of the breath. Together, we breathe to remember that we are not separate, but many reflections of one shared life.

    Strictly limited to 12 spots.

    COST: $80 (GR members $72)

Please note, this breathwork journey is not suitable for those that are pregnant or with serious heart or mental conditions.

  • The Cyclical Practice - How menstrual cycle awareness can evolve the way you practice and teach yoga

    ALESSIA FRISINA

    Saturday September 5th, 11:30am-1:30pm

As women, we move through ongoing shifts in energy, perception, confidence, sensitivity and capacity. What if these changes were not interruptions to our yoga practice, but part of the intelligence through which it could evolve? The Cyclical Practice is an embodied workshop exploring how menstrual cycle awareness can deepen the way we practice, teach and lead. This is not about doing more at certain points of the cycle and less at others, or following a fixed set of poses for each phase. It is about developing the awareness to recognise our changing capacities and qualities, and allowing these to inform more responsive, discerning and creative choices. Through yoga, reflection and discussion, we will journey through the four inner seasons of the menstrual cycle, exploring the distinct gifts and challenges of each and how they can shape our relationship with strength, creativity, expression, boundaries, rest and renewal. Together, we will consider how listening to these changing qualities can help us access our innate power and allow our practice, teaching and leadership to evolve. Open to yoga practitioners and teachers, whether you menstruate, follow lunar cycles or are simply curious about a more evolving approach to practice. No previous knowledge is required.

  • Community Kirtan

    HEIDI MELLICAN

    Friday Sept 18th, 6.30PM-8:30PM

Join us for an intimate evening of Kirtan - a deeply nourishing practice of mantra, music and meditation that invites us out of the thinking mind and into the heart. Through sacred sound, live music and collective voice, we gather in community to slow down, soften and reconnect to something deeper within ourselves.

Kirtan is often described as a moving meditation & a form of Bhakti Yoga (the yoga of devotion). No experience is needed and you do not need to be “good at singing” to attend. This is not a performance, but a shared experience and a space to listen, chant, feel, rest, open and simply be.

Expect an evening woven with mantra, storytelling, gentle guidance and moments of stillness, creating a space that is both grounding and uplifting. Whether this is your first Kirtan or a familiar practice, you are warmly welcomed exactly as you are.

Please bring anything you need to feel comfortable sitting on the floor (a cushion, shawl or blanket). Limited props are available at the venue.

We can’t wait to share this beautiful evening with you.
