You asked, we listened and we now have dates confirmed to return to beautiful Hiriketiya Bay, Sri Lanka for 5-nights of yoga, meditation, surfing and the most delicious Sri Lankan cuisine!
There will be 2 classes a day: a morning flow, comprising meditation and mantra, as well as a strong dynamic flow, focused around a theme. Then each afternoon or evening a deeply nourishing yin, meditation or restorative class. The open air Shala lifts you into the treetops of the surrounding jungle, and you’ll often see curious monkeys watching you as you practise.
As well as the yoga, we will be offering surf lessons at Hiriketiya beach next to the property, sunbathe, swim and watch the sunset at Dikwella beach around the headland, have a blissful massage, or take a trip whale watching or a safari to Udawalawe National Park.
The retreat will be facilitated by Grass Roots owner, Sally Murchie, and fun, nurturing and dynamic yogi (loved by her followers around the world) Helen Cole. Helen’s yoga journey started twenty years ago as a dedicated student of Ashtanga, which now inspires her dynamic, challenging and creative teaching style.
